The blade is a modified sheepsfoot with a slightly up-swept tip, which provides some slicing belly. The flat ground VG 10 arrived exceptionally sharp with an easy to strop edge. The RL slices as well as an Opinel; its quite thin tip pierces as well as an acute point. Fine edge retention is fair when slicing cardboard and pine.
